The AC Plus Marine, Inc., EDWH™ Electric Diver Water Heater was designed and constructed for use in the Commercial Saturation Dive Industry. The system will maintain automatic control of Diver Hot Water temperature from 33°F to 145°F. *Higher Temperatures are possible but not recommended. The EDWH™ is comprised of two fluid loops - the primary heated fluid loop and the clean seawater loop. The unit is designed to transfer heat via a helical seawater resistant heat exchanger. Seawater supply and return is accomplished through 3/4” supply connections located on the package frame. This unique design feature allows for internal redundancy and five-stage capacity control.
OPERATING CHARACTERISTICSThe primary loop pump supplies heated fluid to the heat exchanger via a separate loop. The heat exchanger transfers the heat from the hot primary loop to the seawater as it passes through the heat exchanger shell. Temperature control is accomplished via four staged heaters elements and variable rate control final stage heating element A remote control panel allows for temperature monitoring and enables the supervisor to shut down the system in the event of an emergency. There is a High Temperature control on the primary loop. This will trip to an open position and shut down the heater elements in the event of an over temperature situation. They require the operator to manually reset them in case of a trip. BUILT-IN REDUNDANCYThe unique design provides Five Elements which provide system redundancy!
